Our planet has been silently invaded by benign aliens. They are currently residing in a bedsit near Tunbridge Wells. There are four of them and they are originally from the Planet KlyxKlak in the Andromeda Galaxy. They are only 3cm tall and currently share their living quarters with Herbert Potter and his small family, but more specifically with a small family of house mice in a comfortable cubby hole behind the cooker in the kitchen. Size doesn’t matter and is no impediment to their mission on Earth. They are all endowed with the mysterious (to us) power of ethereal projection. Their minds can freely roam the earth in an instant, collecting data and making observations. Their mission is to investigate a strange situation that has swept over the world. They have been told that, unless they can make sense of the situation, the human race could well be doomed. These are friendly aliens and all they want to do is help.
They have each had their initial recce. They have visited seats of power, learning and culture throughout the western world, the places where the problem is strongest. They observed large public gatherings and smaller clandestine meetings, both official and unofficial assemblies. Anywhere people gathered to make proclamations and decisions, our aliens were there to witness it. They had returned to the cubby hole to share their findings. Skreel, who had specifically targeted religious gatherings was the first to speak.
“I attended to the great religions that had most sway with humans. I visited churches, cathedrals, mosques and temples, centres of pilgrimages and smaller gatherings in homes and study rooms. My findings surprised me because they were not what I expected.”
“Tell us more, Skreel,” implored Fudkas. “This is intriguing.”
“More so worrying,” added Skreel. “It just made no sense.”
Skreel paused for affect. He certainly had their attention. Then he continued.
“There seems to be a rogue element in their religious landscape, something worth investigating further. One religious group, perhaps the smallest of all, a persistent and hardy people, seem to be intent on disruption. This is my conclusion from listening to conversations, speeches and sermons everywhere. They killed the founder of one religion and have attempted to subvert their followers to such a degree that they had to be expelled and excluded, often terminally. But it didn’t stop there. Despite their tiny size, they have also persecuted the other great religion, attacking them and stealing their land …”
“How is this possible …?” said Nakdim.
“Could this be connected to our mission? Do you think this is something to do with it? What say you, Fudkras? Tell us about your findings.”
Fudkras spoke next.
“I too concentrated on the area of beliefs. Not so much religious matters, but the mindsets that dominate their cultural landscape. It seems that people tend to gather together bonded by extreme views. They seem to be obsessed by geography, by what they call the left and the right, with emphasis on the far extremes, the far left and the far right. The odd observation that I made is that these extremes have absolute contempt for each other, even though there seems to be an overlap in what they believe, which seems to be the rule of a few over the many. But there’s one curious thing …”
He too paused for effect, then continued.
“There is one group, again a small group of people, that both seem to have equal contempt for, even a visceral hated for …”
“Really, Fudkras? Why?”
“This is not clear. One thing that persists is that each blame this small group for the very worst evils represented by those on the opposite side. How could this be possible?”
“What a remarkable people they must be.”
“They must be one of the sources of the problem we have come to investigate. What say you, Nakdim?
“My focus was on the culture, the common thread running through society. And, yes, I too heard murmurings of a small group. And this is an even more improbable situation. Many believe that these people, this tiny group of people, actually control the world and are manipulating events to suit their nefarious aims. Whenever a disaster happens, they blame these people, seemingly without any evidence.”
“No smoke without fire. There’s a common thread here, I think our job is going to be an easy one here. What do you think, Brian? (Brian, curiously, is one of the most popular names on their planet).
Brian was evidently their leader. He hadn’t spoken yet, he sat silently, evaluating. After a short time, he spoke.
“These people you all refer to, these three small groups, must be endowed with incredible powers to create such havoc. Have you considered that they must be connected in some way. For billions of people to be controlled by so few must require a lot of co-ordination, after all. Who are these three groups?”
All three spoke together.
“The Jews.”
Their noddles were flambulated (a KlyxKlakian expression of utter astonishment).
PART ONE
“How interesting”, exclaimed Skreel. “How can this be? I’ve checked. These Jews only account for about 1 in every 500 people on the planet. What is the source of their power if they are able to be so disruptive in so many different ways?”
Two of them shrugged, but not Brian.
“Perhaps we should look at this differently. Perhaps they are the sane ones and …”
“Not very likely,” added Nakdim. “I’ve been gathering some facts, some hard facts … and surely facts don’t lie.”
“Go on.”
“They have a World Government organisation called the United Nations. It represents all the nations, so you would expect them to have a good handle on this situation.”
“And …?”
“Their Human Rights council meets about three times a year. It’s where they deal with nations who mistreat their people badly. Did you know that Israel – the Nation of the Jews – is the only country with a permanent place on the agenda, as if it was a perpetual troublemaker.”
“That seems … condemning!” said Fudkras.
“It does,” added Nakdim. “Also … Israel has been condemned more times than every other country added together. Surely …”
“Mmmm,” mused Brian.
“What’s this ‘mmmm’, Brian? It seems cut and dry here. No smoke without fire, eh?” responded Nakdim.
“We are making an assumption here,” was the answer. “But I will hold back. Is there more, Nakdim?”
“Oh yes. Lots.”
“Then go on.”
“The war in Gaza.”
“Oh yes, there’s a lot of chatter about that. Perhaps … too much,” added Skreel.
“Why do you say that?” asked Fudkras.
“With all the marching and demonstrating and boycotting and the like … what has happened there in terms of how it has been reported seems overwhelming when …”
He paused. He wanted to get this right.
“There are far worse conflicts in the world that seem to attract no attention at all … in Nigeria, Sudan, Afghanistan … it’s a long list.”
“That’s because … as they tell me … Gaza is a genocide,” added Nakdim. “A deliberate targeting of a people in order to wipe them out.”
“Have the Jews … Israel … acknowledged this?” asked Brian, casually.
“No, course not. Why should they? It would be self-condemning.”
They all waited for Brian’s reply. It came.
“Because their opponents, Palestinians living in Gaza, also in what they called the ‘occupied areas’, as well as other places in the world where Muslims live … they also talk about genocide. But they do this boastfully and suggest that their intention is to drive out all Jews from the land … from the River to the Sea.”
“From the River to the Sea? We hear that a lot” added Skreel.
“And what was October 7th 2023, if not an attempted genocide? One that they proudly filmed themselves as they slaughtered hundreds of Jews?”
There was a brief silence, broken by Nakdim.
“What are you saying, Brian?”
“As I said earlier. We are making an assumption here.”
“Go on.”
“Look, friends. We have been summoned here for one reason. We are independent, we have no axes to grind. We are truth seekers and we have the ability to sift through everything and arrive at truth, something that humans seem incapable of doing. We need to look beyond what they are saying here. Instead … what are they thinking … what are they doing? I suggest we each go on another recce and see what is really going on. And one word of advice … follow the money. These humans are selfish beings, money does seem to be a big incentive for them.
So that is what they did.
PART TWO
“Qatar.” One word formed on all of their lips on their return, even with Nakdim.
“That’s where the money leads to … or rather, where it comes from”, said Skreel.
Brian continued.
“Qatar. A tiny Muslim nation in the Middle East. One of the top producers of natural gas in the world and has become very wealthy on it. It only has a small population, so plenty of funds in reserve for …”
“Questionable activities”, added Skreel.
“Yes, quite hidden. There’s the visible … the Shard and Harrods in London for example … and the invisible.”
“But not to us … we see everything.”
“Secret networks and complex manipulations but … it is clear … they seem to be funding a lot of terrorism.”
“Hamas being a major beneficiary, though maybe not so much now.”
“You are sure about this, Brian?” asked Nakdim.
“Why do you ask this?”
“Because, with all the riches they have … why not just sit back and enjoy it?”
“Religious zeal,” was the immediate answer. “The spread of Islam … but not the peaceful variety. And with this, we have the corollary.”
They all listened, as Brian paused just for a few beats.
“Their version of Islam has a natural enemy … well, in their eyes anyway.”
He waited for the penny to drop.
“The Jews?” suggested Skreel.
“The Jews.”
“Please give an example, Brian?” asked Nakdim. “Convince me.”
“OK, how about this. Qatar are the largest foreign funder of US colleges in history … well over $6 billion since records have been kept.”
“Very altruistic,” said Nakdim. “And worthy …?”
“Well, yes, on the face of it. That’s the public face but … with their global religious mission in mind … there’s a dark side.”
“I think I see where you’re going here,” added Skreel. “American colleges are hotbeds of Jew hatred aren’t they? In fact, I heard that the protests and demonstrations started at Columbia university in New York, the day after October 7th 2023.”
“It was nasty stuff,” added Brian.
“Are you saying that Qatari money is funding Jew hated?” asked Fudkras. “That’s a big assertion.”
“We see everything, Fudkras. There is no ‘fake news’ with us.”
Fudkras is unsure about this and briefly disappeared. Moments later he returned. He had a sheepish look on his face.
“It’s worse, Brian,” he stuttered. “Far worse.”
PART THREE
“I followed the money … but not just from Qatar. Oh, they’re all at it, the rich Muslim states, even Iran, but not so much at present. All to varying degrees. But Qatar is the main culprit here. To the world they are benign and public spirited … hosting sports tournaments and sponsoring good causes … but, deep down … a darkness.”
“But how is it worse?” asked Skreel.
“The money doesn’t just land with colleges and not just in the USA either. It is everywhere. In the media, in politics, with influencers, the arts, just about everywhere. They even pay agitators at those Palestinian demonstrations. Incredibly, they even reach institutions that have been trusted for years, such as the United Nations.”
“That may explain the negativity there towards Israel,” added Skreel.
“Totally,” said Brian. “And, I believe, much of it is now coming to light. Also, when you see the voting patterns in the United Nations and the influence the Muslim nations have on the poorer nations, but also some European nations, it all starts to fall into place.”
“This is awful,” added Fudkras. “A conspiracy of all conspiracies.”
“Just against one tiny people.”
“Hold on”, said Nakdim. “This is still unbelievable. Are you saying that Israel is not a genocidal, colonial, racist, apartheid nation, that the World says it is?”
“You tell me,” challenged Brian.
“They can’t all be wrong here … the UN, the BBC, Greenpeace, Amnesty, Oxfam …”
Brian was silent. Nakdim continued.
“They’ve all been got at?”
“Not necessarily,” answered Brian. “I’ve been told there was a man, an evil man, in the previous century – his name was Goebbels … and he supposedly said, ‘If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth’. It only takes one respected institution to make negative assertions about Israel – whether money is involved or not – and they all eventually follow … because …”
“ … Why should they lie?” interrupted Skreel.
“Correct. It can’t just be about the money. There must be something more than that. Not everyone is being paid. I saw ordinary people at those demonstrations, you should see the look of hatred on their faces! Remember what I said at the beginning, about who the ‘sane ones’ were in all this?”
They stopped and thought for a bit. He continued. He changed tack.
“Let’s look at these humans a bit more closely … This A.I. that they have invented. I don’t think they thought it through.”
They mused for a bit, then Fudkras spoke up.
“Right. Remember Planet Moronoxy, what happened there.”
They all sighed.
“The machines took over and the organics became slaves to them.”
“Because power and strength trumps everything … so why create something that is going
to be better than you in every way? Madness!”
“Quite.”
“Here, Fake News seems to reign.”
“We hear a lot about Fake News.”
“For a people who have a very loose relationship with truth, it seems the perfect marriage.”
“Quite.”
“The thing is with Fake News, is that, thanks to A.I., it has moved past the ‘how amusing’, entertainment stage and has become a real menace. I’ve picked this up from many in the ‘know’. And you know what this means?”
“Because everything can be faked, reality has been obscured.”
“And people become able to believe anything.”
“Even the most ridiculous assertions become possible.”
“Which is the ideal environment for …”
“… Jew hatred.”
“As the most ridiculous conspiracy theories attributed to them are suddenly believable.”
“It’s harder to be skeptical.”
“Like … Israel being responsible for October 7th”
“The Jews causing that mass Moroccan invasion of Spanish territory.”
“The IDF training dogs to rape Palestinian prisoners.”
“Being responsible for weather.”
“Natural disasters.”
“Just about … everything, really.”
“Human beings … how easy they can descend into madness.”
Brian then said what was on all of their minds.
“But, of course, there is one unanswered question here? Are the Jewish people the problem we have come to investigate … or is it the reaction to them, some kind of Planet Earth mind virus? And … why are they so hated anyway?”
“So we have something going on here that seems to affect many people. Do we agree?”
“Still not entirely convinced”, added Nakdim. “As we said earlier, ‘there is no smoke without fire’. There has to be something about these Jews that makes people hate them.”
“Yes, I agree we need to investigate further. So, I suggest we do another recce to ascertain what it is about these people that provokes such reactions. Also … and we have to be certain here … are they actually guilty of what they have been accused of?”
And off they went, in a flash.
PART FOUR
They returned, a collection of puzzled expressions. Skreel spoke first.
“I decided to investigate those religious charges made … and a lot more added by the way.”
“And?”
“It made no sense. The founder of their religion was also a Jew. He was brutally killed by the occupiers of the land around 2,000 years ago. Yet, still, just because most Jews rejected him at the time, many of the non-Jewish followers who came after him – even up to the present time – still blame all Jews for his death.”
“Why?”
“That is not clear. But the hatred is palpable. It drives them to persecute, to harass, to kill even.”
“I’ve looked further and these non-Jewish Christians have found excuse after excuse to persecute Jews ever since.”
“Even now most Christians don’t like them, even hate them. They believe their God has abandoned them, so that’s an excuse, apparently.”
“Sounds like a really vengeful religion.”
“That’s the point … it’s not. It’s a religion of love … in every other way, apart from this … apparently.”
“What about the Muslims, Brian?”
“They go back to their founder, who fell out with the Jews of his day, even massacred them and wrote some bad stuff about them. They are just following his example, I suppose.”
“And the issue of the land?”
“Just another expression of hate. It is clear they are not really fussed about the land and who lives there, despite what they say about Palestine and Gaza. They just don’t want Jews there. It’s as simple as that.”
“From the River to the Sea.”
“Yes, that’s the expression. Even many non-Muslims express the same thing.”
“Really?”
Fudkras answered this one.
“They ally themselves with the Palestinians. They feel that it’s a ‘worthy cause’.”
“It is, isn’t it?” added Nakdim.
“Of course not!” replied Brian, with a touch of anger.
“It’s a non-issue. It’s just about hatred. Just as with the Christians and the Muslims. This is a virus, a Planet Earth mind virus that affects many. It’s relentless. Even with some – ordinary people – who perhaps have never met a Jew in their lives. Even they call for the destruction of the only Jewish state in the world … it is horrific.”
“And they call for the destruction of the Jewish people,” added Skreel. “A persistent feature of human history, it seems. I’ve done my research. This hatred caused the death of six million Jews not eighty years ago. Can’t they see this for what it is!”
“What is it, Skreel”, asked Fudkras.
“A genocide. A true genocide!”
The silence was broken by Nakdim.
“No, you are wrong … they are the genocidal ones. Look at the evidence …”
The others looked at him, astonished. Their noddles were again flambulated.
Brian looked closely at his friend.
“It appears that this virus can cross species. It is truly powerful.”
He approached Nakdim and held his tramfel, a gesture of concern.
“Nakdim, look at me.”
He did and both disappeared. They returned a few moments later. Nakdim’s expression had changed. His noddle was flimdulated, a posture of remorse. The others nodded and said nothing.
“We have just been to Jerusalem, the main City of Israel. To a museum called Yad Vashem, a memorial to the events of eighty years ago. Our friend here has been … educated.”
Nakdim stayed silent for the rest of the time.
PART FIVE
They were quiet for a short time. It was broken by Skreel.
“So what can we do, Brian?” Fudkras answered for him.
“We are just here to observe.”
Brian gestured for their attention, then spoke.
“Not entirely true. Our leaders sent us here for a purpose. They had heard how just a few people had managed to affect the whole of Planet Earth and … they wanted us to learn from them …”
“Why?”
“So they could do the same on our planet!”
The others were dumbfounded.
“Well, they are going to be disappointed then.”
“Yes. So what do we tell them?”
“I think …”, added Brian, thoughtfully. “We have learned the power of hate and how that can damage a whole culture. An important lesson.”
“What do you mean? Surely only the Jews are affected by this?”
“No, you are wrong”, answered Brian. “What I have seen is that they are a hardy, self-driven, resourceful people. They know they are hated. They don’t really understand why, particularly as there are so many reasons, and so many instigators … but they just get on with it and make a life for themselves, regardless. They are extremely good at this, many of them have risen to the very top of society.”
“That must make things worse, I would think” said Skrill.
“Yes … but … let’s turn our thoughts to the haters, particularly those who have been dragged into it under what I can only see as false pretenses.”
“The housewives, students, office workers …”
“Yes, ordinary people. This Jew hatred does more damage to them – individually and as a society – than they could ever imagine.”
“How so, Brian?”
“They have allowed themselves to be … lowered.”
“What do you mean?”
“They are … lessened … it is painful to see. Humans have so much potential, but to realise this, they must strive for … betterness. This … is the very opposite.”
“I think I understand. Hate is so destructive …”
“… but it’s more than that. When they give in to this hate, they are making sacrifices too, if they only realise it. By following just their emotions, without thought, they are diminishing themselves. Because … and many of these are intelligent people, well capable of doing so … if they examined the facts … just as we have … they will realise they are following a lie. This is not just those who turn out for the demonstrations, marches and boycotts, it’s for everyone, whoever they are, who are told to blame Jewish people for, what is often, the shortcomings of others.”
“They would prefer to follow the crowd I think.”
“I think it gives them a sense of worth.”
“This is sad.”
“Why do you say that.”
“It implies that they are not feeling this worth already. ‘Free Palestine’ may make them feel good, but it’s really saying ‘Death to Jews’. The sadness is that they don’t seem to know this …”
“… or care about it.”
“Which is worse.”
“Yes, The Planet Earth Mind Virus damages everyone.”
“Yet, so easy to defeat, perhaps?”
“How?”
“Education. If they read up on the true facts and follow the truth, surely they would behave differently?”
“Yes, but it goes deeper.”
“I fear you are correct.”
“Hate has sharp claws … hard to wrench free from.”
“I fear you are correct.”
“And we still haven’t discovered the reason for the hatred.”
“No.”
“And there is nothing we can do to help.”
“No, all we can do is to report back to KlyxKlak. There is surely much we have learned here.”
At that they disappeared in a puff of smoke, startling the mouse family who had stoically put up with the intrusion. Father mouse turned to his wife, shrugged then spoke.
“Oy vey, iz mir, Mrs Mousekowitz. At least everyone loves us.”
A jaw-dropping “fictional” analysis of the antisemitic virus that, tragically, shows no sign of slowing down. It has affected every major institution rampaging through individuals, societies and nations so potently that only the brave are prepared to resist and combat it.
